Enthusiastic and friendly staff, who get the balance just right for giving helpful, patient advice without being pushy or intrusive. Thanks to Beth for helping me buy some great new walking boots - she really listened to what I wanted. Bought a fleecy lined waterproof coat last October and it's been great too. Definitely recommend.
I went i to buy some walking boots for myself, having no knowledge or experiencing in hiking, and so I needed a lot of help and advice! The lady who served me was awesome, nothing but helpful, and i came away with a first pair of walking boots that completely suited my price range, and physical needs too :) Cheers!

You are sold what you require not the highest quality and price.never heard of the boot I was advised to try, mid range fair price and brilliant. I was unsure if I was fed sales patter,so I read up. I was shocked how well known they are.As Steve the proprietor says, You don't want all the gear and no idea.A waste of money. I saved a packet and came out with more gear.By the way Steve is a member of the mountain rescue team.with three search dog's. He knows his stuff.
Great local outdoor shop, been here for years! Very helpful and knowledgeable in all areas when you need advice too. :)

Excellent shop, great choice of camping items and very good bargains. Well worth a visit for clothing and footwear also.
Decent selection of hiking shoes. Problem was getting correct size, appears millets don't do half sizes, was told to order direct from manufactures for these sizes. Some shoes were also unavailable in full sizes, was told to order from millets online which would then give me a 20% discount.

Really great service, quick and efficient. Shop next door will fit any product you require there and then for you for free. Staff are knowledgeable and will advise where needed and if required whilst also careful and considerate with your vehicle. Lots of services available as well as products in the store from screen wash to radios.
Bought my grandson's first bike from Halfords. Shop staff really helpful, Paid for it to be assembled and checked only to have the handlebars become detached 20 minutes after he had started riding it. NOT impressed with reply from staff who told me that they had checked it!!!! Will think twice about going there again.
